Body Mapping: Mr. Horsepower
Mr. Horsepower Location: Upper right arm Meaning: The cigar-smoking bird known as “Mr. Horsepower” was originally the mascot and logo of Clay Smith Cams, an auto shop established in 1931.  Today it is a popular symbol in hot rod culture and among mechanics. Mr. Horsepower is commonly mistaken for Woody Woodpecker. However, WW was not created until 1940, and the birds have no...

Body Mapping: The Aloha Monkey
Like that creepy waiter in the background of this picture, you’ve been checking out Ben’s tattoos. Let’s chart the territory of his “body mapping.” The “Aloha” Monkey Location: Inside right forearm Meaning: The image was created by Norman Collins, also known as “Sailor Jerry.” Collins rode the rails as a child, and he learned to tattoo by...

Location Scouting: Ain't Them Bodies Saints
Check out the Flickr photostream for Ain’t Them Bodies Saints, posted by writer/director David Lowery. The sets are stills of potential locations in Canada, Texas and Louisiana. There’s lots of beautiful abandoned houses, talk of an assailant attacking Muldoon, and general proof that Lowery has a very good eye for imagery. I’m just hoping that an obsession with imagery...

Anonymous asked: The short version of what I want to say is simply .. thank you - but I'm no good with summaries. Ben is such a phenomenal actor and to have such a comprehensive, up-to-date source through which to avidly follow his career has been a pleasure. (The lovely bits of eye candy sprinkled throughout are nothing to complain about, either!) So again, I thank you for the time and effort you put into...
